Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 16oz uncooked rigatoni
- 20oz marinara
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Place butter in large pot over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic.
- Sprinkle on the red pepper and mix together. Allow onions and garlic to soften in the pot (1-2 minutes).
- Add uncooked pasta to the pot, followed by the marinara, broth and salt. Mix it all together and bring it up to a soft boil to cook the pasta. Cover and reduce heat for 12-13 minutes.
- When the rigatoni is cooked to perfection, add the heavy cream and parmesan. Mix over medium heat until sauce comes together.
- Garnish with parmesan and parsley.
Tips
- Made this with meatballs and summer veggies. It was delicious.
