Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve salted saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • pecans
  • white chocolate (optional)
  • toffee bits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper. Grease parchment paper with cooking spray.
  2. Place crackers side by side on lined pan.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium/medium-high head and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour evenly over crackers.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans on top.
  8. Let stand for 5 minutes, then use the back of a spoon to spread melted chocolate chips evenly over the crackers.
  9. Top with toffee bits and white chocolate drizzle (optional).
  10. Cool completely in fridge (at least 2 hours) or in freezer (at least 1 hour), then break into pieces.
  11. Store in fridge in airtight container.

Tips

  • always used salted butter instead of unsalted, and was even more delicious
  • replace chocolate chips with peanut butter chips for a different option
